The writer and poet Anthony Rudolf was Paula Rego’s compagnon from 1996 until her death in 2022. This moving book is a meditation on love, art and the relationship between one of the world’s greatest contemporary artists and her principal male model of 25 years. At its centre is a fascinating account of Rego's unique studio practice and Rudolf's role in it.
