Shots Across the Water: travel narrative about a young man's African adventure, walking or hitch-hiking from Egypt to Swaziland, and back to Britain. Carrying just £250 and a small rucksack, the author relied on the kindness of strangers to traverse the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Nigeria and the Sahara Desert.
