Memories of Life at Home

This book focuses on everyday life in the home during the first half of the 20th Century. Using photographs and 1st hand interviews it explores topics including how some people lived in poverty in tenements; World War II rationing; how many families used outside privies with newspaper for toilet roll and the ritual of a Sunday bath night.
