Lure of the Mountains is the biography of photographer and 1924 Everest expedition member Bentley Beetham (1886 - 1963). Written by Michael D. Lowes, with a foreword by Graham Ratcliffe, it charts Beetham's life including the 1924 expedition on which Mallory and Irvine disappeared. Features over 30 of Beetham's photographs of Everest and Tibet.
