Andrew Watson; a Straggling Life

The son of a plantation owner and a free woman of colour, Andrew Watson was not only the first black football player, he was one of the best in the world. He was lost to history for more than 100 years, and only recently have we come to terms with his influence on the development of the game and recognised his remarkable achievements.
