Apart from individual portraits and gengre paintings, Paul Signac (1863-1935) devoted himself almost exclusively to landscapes. The creator of unique paintings, drawings and watercolors has his roots in Impressionism. The sea,harbors ,ships and beaches became the favorite motifs of the master of color and light. He painted them on his numerous journeys- in Paris,Normandy,Brittany, in the south of France , but also in Venice and Istanbul.
